ARMA San Antonio Chapter Monthly Educational Luncheon
Topic: The Death March of Digital ... Implications of Long-Term e-Records
When we talk about retention, what do we mean by "long term," and how do different groups perceive it? Over the long term, all of our electronic records (digital or otherwise) will be lost, even while some physical records will survive.
Discussion:
- Why will electronic records disappear, while physical records survive?
- What records are "keepers," and why should this concern us?
- Is there anything we can do about it?
- Should we even try?
- Do we care enough?
Mr. Grevin will present and discuss the records, the issues and the choices, and will list some sources for further inquiry.
