CRM Designation
The Institute of Certified Records Managers is a not for profit organization which exists for the purpose of developing and administering a certification program and a certification maintenance program for professionals within the records management profession. Upon completion of the Certified Records Manager examination, the CRM designation is obtained.
Experience is determined by a measurement of education and professional qualifying experience. Knowledge is measured by successful completion of the six-part CRM Examination and ongoing compliance with the Certification Maintenance program. The Code of Ethics of the ICRM and the ethics review process guides and enforces professional Integrity.
The San Antonio Chapter of ARMA has an active CRM Study Group that meets on a regular basis. You do not have to be an official ICRM Candidate to join this group. Members are assigned parts of the ICRM outline to research and present to the group.
If you are interested in joining this study group, please contact Jenny N Barker, CRM.
Detailed information about the ICRM and the CRM examination is located on the ICRM website.
The Jenny N Barker Scholarship is available to support CRM's and CRM candidates in their continuing pursuit of knowledge and education in the field of records and information management.
