Russell McWhorter is an attorney with 20-plus years’ experience as a law enforcement professional, with a focus on computer forensics and investigations. He specializes in investigations concerning network intrusion, theft of intellectual property, and unauthorized use of client’s computer systems. Mr. McWhorter was the CEO and Senior Forensic Analyst of Veridicus, Inc., a well-known legal investigation firm. During his tenure at Veridicus, Mr. McWhorter focused on establishing evidence and supporting litigators in cases such as intellectual property theft, copyright violations, human resource violations and domestic issues, including divorce. He also conducted computer and cell phone forensics examinations, and has testified in court proceedings and depositions involving electronic evidence about his analytical methods and findings. Additionally, Mr. McWhorter conferred with industry experts on evidence and its interpretation. In addition to his knowledge of intellectual property issues, Mr. McWhorter worked for the Bexar County Sheriff for 24 years, where he began his career in forensic investigations, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. While at the County Sheriff’s Office, he conducted extensive interviews and interrogations of suspects and witnesses, utilizing case information and in-depth analysis of historical data.
Mr. McWhorter was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2015, receiving his doctorate of jurisprudence at St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2014.
